IPEA and IMUA Inaugurate New Building with Board Meetings

Both the Illinois Public Energy Agency and the Illinois Municipal Utilities Association held their inaugural meetings in the new IMEA headquarters building. Both IPEA and IMUA are managed under contract by the staff of the IMEA, although they retain their own boards of directors which provide policy direction to staff.

IPEA and IMUA use the new training facility within the building for their meetings. The facility can comfortably seat up to 50 and has integral audio visual equipment for meetings and training sessions.

The board meetings took place on December 5 and 6 in conjunction with the first IMEA meetings. Also held over the period was a meeting to discuss the new federal mandatory reliability compliance regulations for the IMEA member that are affected by them.
